Lighting incense before I start working, or even a little before that, has become my new ritual. I like how it interacts with the fan, how it helps me get a sense of the reality of air currents around the room,i like how its a meeting of fire and wood and air
I like how it uses fire to mark the passing of time, maybe i should get some incense of assorted burn speeds…

I still want to be a monk.
I think i have a long-unacknowledged fear of people calling me an orientalist or saying that I’m orientalizing. I am also afraid tht they are (w)rite but these are two seperate fears.
This is a public journal. Maybe someday people will call me that here. But I think acknowledging my concern and trying to go from there is the politic thing to do.

oh, you should know that i do not have the technical capacity to make the forming not completely break down on mobile. sorry about that. I type almost all of these on my boyfriend’s computer on the website itself, copying and pasting into an email or whatever as a save file but my website is the only place i know how to make the screen background mostly black. anyone with a solution to this please put it tin the comments
