🪐 Saturnian Gender, Magic, and Pride Flag 🪐
i was looking at various emojis and realized that the Saturn/ringed planet emoji in certain interfaces has a very pride flag vibe, kind of reminiscent of the demiboy and other pastel flags, both in terms of the planet itself and it's rings.
I'm not sure what a Saturnian flag would represent gender or sexuality wise, or if that language is already in use (as for example Neptunian is sometimes used as a sexuality but I have some ideas.
to me Saturn, both the Titan and the planet, are Big Gender.™ mythologically speaking, there's something very queer about the youngest Titan being the only one brave enough to challenge Ouronus. on a more disturbing note, there's sort of a queering of pregnancy with Saturn swallowing his children and then vomiting them back up. plus as a Titan of time, harvest, golden eras, and revolution I read a certain very revolutionary, very trans vibes if you go based more on archetypes and morifs as opposed to the myth narrative itself.
as for the planet, the rings are giving vogue, they're giving drag, they're giving iconic silhouette, immediately recognizable. the orbit of Saturn takes ~27 years, with the return of Saturn to the place it was located at the time of your birth being thought to be a momentous, transformative, turbulent time in people's lives. that's something I think a lot of queer people can relate to, if not always on that specific time scale. (though it seems to be holding true for me).
